Cash flow could be created by primavera 6 version 7 using the reports section, However i found primavera 6 v7 reports are not very clear that every one can do it simply, Therefore we are going to see step by step how to create planned values and earned values using primavera p6 v7 reports.
To create Cash Flow Statement using primavera follow the following steps:
1- Open reports section from tools tap then reports then reports as per photo below :
Open report tap in primavera p6
2- From the report group Tabular select the report called CT-01 Monthly Project Cash flow and then click on wizard icon on the right as per photo below

3- The report wizard window will open, just click next as per photo below
click next on primavera report
4- From configure selected subject area under activities click columns
click column icon to adjust primavera report
5-from available options on the left under earned value group select planned value cost and earned value cost (double click to move items from available option on the the left to the selected options in the right) Then click apply Then OK

6- Then click next
Click next in report wizard
7- from the date options click time interval fields.

8- from available options on the left under earned value group select earned value cost, cum earned value cost, planned value cost and cum planned value cost then click OK

9- click next
Click next
10- put your report title then click next
Name the primavera report
11- Congratulations !! report generated click run report
Run the P6 report
12- choose HTML file and from output file select the location the report will be saved then click OK
choose HTML file
13- now the internet explorer should open and this step is tricky one , if your internet explorer not your default browser like if you are using Firefox or Google chrome, go to the location the report saved and right click the open with internet explorer, otherwise the copy and paste will not work probably.
Open p6 report
You should should see something like this
14- Copy values of Earned Value, Cum. Earned Value, Planned Value and Cum Planned Value from internet explorer to any excel sheet and create cash flow easily, Or download the attached sample and it will create the cash flow based on the values from primavera
Download the cash flow report:

I have P6 8.3 installed on my system. I cant find the Report Group 'Tabular' of Report Group 'Cost'. What should I do to generate Cash Flow on excel.
ReplyDeleteHi @Asim Tanveer you can refer to Report group cost, AC 01 (Activity Earned Value) and continue the steps from there in P6 8.3.
DeleteI have P6 16.1 on my system, I don't have Monthly cash flow too and I've tried to apply these steps on AC 01 report it doesn't work too, after step 6 the wizard gave me step 10 directly without giving me the steps of data options (time intervals)
